Terms of sale

We make Stay Focused Plus and license it to you. It is sold through Lemon Squeezy, our reseller and merchant of record, which takes your payment, handles sales tax or VAT, and sends your receipt, your license key and any refund. Lemon Squeezy’s Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase, and these terms are the license agreement they refer to. Where our promises here or in our refund policy are more generous than theirs, we honour ours.

Google is not the seller. You must be 18 or over to buy.

A license key that switches on the Plus extras described on our pricing page when you buy, inside the Stay Focused extension for Google Chrome. Lemon Squeezy emails you the key after you pay, and you paste it into Stay Focused’s settings, under Stay Focused Plus.

Yearly is a subscription. Lifetime is one payment with no renewal, and lasts for as long as we offer Stay Focused Plus, not a fixed number of years. Prices are on the pricing page. Prices in US dollars. Sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout.

Yearly renews automatically every year, at $19 a year plus any tax, charged to the payment method you used, until you cancel.

We will email you at least 30 days before any price rise on a subscription you already have.

To cancel at any time, use Lemon Squeezy’s order page, which Manage purchase in Stay Focused opens, or email support@stayfocusedsoftware.com at least two working days before your renewal date. Cancelling stops future renewals, and Plus stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

Your key gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use Plus yourself, at home or at work, in up to 5 browsers at a time. To move it, choose Remove from this browser first. Please don’t share, publish or resell your key. Stay Focused and Plus remain ours.

If your subscription ends, or your key is removed or refunded, the Plus extras pause and Stay Focused goes back to its free defaults. Nothing is deleted, your Plus choices return if Plus does, and blocking is never weakened. Subscribing again later brings a new key.

You can have a full refund within 14 days of buying, or of a yearly renewal, for any reason. The refund policy explains how and forms part of these terms.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights the law gives you as a consumer. Depending on where you live, those include a right to cancel an online purchase within 14 days, which our refund policy gives you whatever you agreed to at checkout, and a right to digital content that is as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality.

If Plus is faulty or not as described, email us and we will fix it or refund you.

Updates arrive through the Chrome Web Store and are included in your plan. We may add to, improve or change Plus over time. If a change takes away something that matters to you, email us within 30 days and we will refund the unused part of your year or, for Lifetime, a fair share of what you paid.

We provide Plus with reasonable care and skill. Stay Focused checks your key with Lemon Squeezy when you activate it and about once a week afterwards. If it cannot reach Lemon Squeezy, Plus keeps working for up to 14 days after the last successful check, then pauses until one succeeds. Sync relies on Chrome Sync, which Google runs.

We cannot promise that Stay Focused will work without interruption or with every future version of Chrome.

We do not exclude or limit liability where the law does not allow it: for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your rights in section 8. If Plus damages your device or other digital content because we did not take reasonable care, we will repair the damage or compensate you. Otherwise we are responsible only for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms.

For business use, we are not liable for lost profit, business or data, and our liability is limited to what you paid for Plus in the previous 12 months.

We may disable a key that has been shared, published or resold, obtained by fraud, or paid for with a payment that was later reversed. Where we fairly can, we will email you first. This pauses Plus only: the free Stay Focused keeps working and nothing you set up is deleted.

The terms in force when you buy or renew are the ones that apply. If we change them, we will update this page and its date, and email Yearly subscribers at least 30 days before a renewal under changed terms.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and can bring a claim in your local courts.
